FAQ
Will CBD Get Me High? | The Difference Between CBD vs. THC | Hemp
The short answer to the question ‘will CBD get me high?’ is no. CBD is non-intoxicating and will not get you high.
We mentioned above that hemp plants have over one hundred types of compounds in them. One of these is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) which is the compound that causes the high associated with cannabis. Green Roads’ CBD products are made with cannabidiol from plants that are classified as “industrial hemp.” This means that those plants contain less than 0.3% THC by dry weight. In most products, this minimal amount is not enough to cause a high, however we encourage everyone to check the label warnings on any product they take.
Why do People Take CBD? | Cannabinoids & Your Body
Some people take CBD because they need support for specific reasons while others want to enhance their overall well-being. To understand the benefits of CBD, you need to understand what it does in the body.
CBD is a type of compound called a cannabinoid. Cannabinoids are abundant in hemp and work with a series of receptors in your body known as the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Studies show that the ECS is involved in a lot of important jobs. These jobs include regulating your anti-inflammatory response, immune system, appetite, mood, anxiety levels, sleep schedule and more. Basically, the ECS helps keep your body in balance, or homeostasis.
CBD Benefits | The Benefits of Taking CBD
The simplest benefit of taking hemp-derived CBD is that it can help manage ordinary, everyday stress. That’s something we all need.
Whether you’re working on a laptop or in a lumberyard, whether you’re a manual laborer, a parent, a teacher, an athlete, a weekend warrior, or some combination of the above, life can become stressful! Studies indicate that cannabidiol can not only help you feel more balanced but can support your body on its journey to optimal health. In short, hemp-derived CBD is a plant-based way to support your well-being.
